We had breakfast..........you guess it...........Blue Lagoon. I don't know why we kept coming back here. We can go to Grand Pacific and be served also. They served the same food. There's buffet in Garden Cafe, Topsider's Grill, The Great Outdoor. Maybe because it is less crowded here.
While eating our breakfast, the captain made an announcement that we won't be stopping in Great Stirrup Cay, NCL's private island because of high winds but we will go straight to Nassau instead. We like that. It means we will spend two days in Nassau. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Norwegian Gem has water slide. While DH help himself to another breakfast (snack) in Topsider Grill :-) What I didn't like here was there were a group of people in the next table smoking closed to were the children were swimming. (Thank you for letting us and our kids smoke also).
We arrived in Nassau around 1PM. We had free coupons that we received from the Port and Shopping 411 by Corne, the cruise ship shopping consultant. Grandma decided to stay in the ship.We went to Del Sol and received our free color changing lanyards. We bought t-shirts for our 2 DDs and a cap for DS and received a free color changing bag. We went to Diamond International and received free bracelets for each DD since we have two cabins (with the coupon that we received from Corne). We bought 2 Nassau charms and received a 2 card that  entitled us to a free charm whenever we go to the places that was listed on the card. We bought rum cake in Tortuga for our friends in NY. We went to the Straw Market and bought some souvenirs and gifts for our friends. then back to the ship and pick up grandma and had a snack in the Garden Cafe then off we go again.
We took a taxi to the Atlantis. The fare was $4.00 each. My 7yo DD who looks like a 5yo was free. Along the way, our taxi driver was happy to gave us information about Nassau and told us that after 5pm we can go to the Atlantis Aquarium for free because there's nobody watching at that time. He said not to say a word that we got the information from him. But having read the cruise critic board we already know this. In case you're wondering what cruise critic board is, it is a website that you can go to for information about cruise, (of course). You can post questions there regarding your upcoming cruise. The URL is www.cruisecritic.com. Not sure if I'm allowed to write it here....hmmm. When we arrived at the Atlantis, the taxi driver pointed to us where to enter and how to get to the aquarium. We went inside and down to the dig. The aquarium was awesome. It was huge with different kinds of fish including barracuda and sharks. Then we roam around the Atlantis grounds. The sun was still out.
We got back to the ship and had dinner at the Orchid Garden (Asian Cuisine) with a surcharge of $15.00 each adult and half price for the children. The food was delicious. DS was wearing cargo shorts and was sent back to the cabin to changed. I liked my Mandarin Prawn Salad. 7yo DD  liked her Chinese Chicken Salad, my other DD liked her spring roll, DS liked his chicken satay, DH and Grandma liked their pecking Duck. Each specialty restaurant offers appetizers, soup/salad, entree, side dish and desserts.
After dinner, we watched the ship's show: Get Down tonight at the Stardust Theater performed by the Norwegian Gem Casts. The show was about dances from the music in the 70's. We liked the show.
