It was our last day in Beijing. Over the few days, I managed to witness glimpses of everyday Beijing. The mix bags of eye feasting was indeed an eye opener for me.

My take on Beijing? Definitely feel the aura of the orient's yinness and yangness.  The new and the old, from spanking new offices with seemingly challenging architecture to traditional hutongs; from massive jams of Merc, Toyotas, VW (you name it) lining and inching their way over  criss-crossing highways to those on bicycles still negotiating the side roads, from abundance of neons/LEDs flooding at night to early morning tai-chi still practiced and perfected in the parks, from modern dazzling high heels/boots Milan styling ladies mixed with those in humbling oriental fittings,  from the  ever rushing entrepreneurs busy on their mobiles to the labourers of dizzying projects busy changing  shifts. They are moving on ahead as a city with changing times indeed.

They planned to have the Olympics over soon and that contributed to the maddening rush, ..…..or perhaps in that short window I had witnessed a metamorphosis taking place in character…… attitude…… and  hope.

Xie-Xie Beijing, I will be back next time.
Trip back home has always been a delight for me, to be back with the family. Unfortunately, some of my pixs taken while in Beijing, especially those during the last few days, were all but gone. I lost my mobile phone soon after boarding off the plane. Swell……..&*$%#@..........Well that's life, you win some , you lose some; just make sure you win more than you lose OK. Chow.....
