Today when we left Francesco's we took a drive to an bio dynamic vineyard to stay the night, this was situated in Vignale Monferato. A lack of Sat Nav and a Wifey who wasn’t with it today resulted us in shooting well past our destination. We changed plans and ended up at a new vineyard call Travaglini, in Gattinara. Lots of driving up amazingly steep mountains, fresh country air, and the open road, I actually enjoy the driving here. I must say the Italians are a little crazy on the roads in the towns, you have to have eyes in the back of your head for the motorbikes.
They all have death wishes here and drive like they are racing to see their first born at the local hospital. The vineyard embraced us with open arms and we settled in for the night, the kids played on their bikes well I prepared dinner. Wifey and I had some white wine when the local boy racers started the pumping tunes on their super base units in their car. Wine enduced we decided to get down with our bad selves and have a dance in the van. We then decided to give ourselves DJ names, Wifey was Mama Sour face, Charlie was DJ Dance, Hollie was Nooma Two Poo and I was Papa Bunion. When I suggested my name, Toni nearly spat her wine everywhere and had a good belly laugh to herself.
A long days driving, but we are on a mission to get to our friends girl’s birthday party which is in Lake Como on the 31st May. I could think of worse places to have a birthday party, it has an Australian theme seeing as they are from said country.
