Where I stayed
Wey Hey! It's 26 degrees and the surf is up!! We are staying at a great location....it's like being in a tropical forest as our town house is surrounded by beautiful flora.....(she looks great in a bikini...only kidding!) and right next to the pool. We went to Sunshine Beach today which was great. They had warnings on the beach that:
the waves are dumping
there are sudden rips
there are hidden pools
We found them all, it does get a little scary at times as the waves are so big and you just can't get out of the water in time. We did get in to a bit of a rip which can be hard to get out of. I hadn't mentioned it before but when we were in Esperance I was watching Bella and Amara as they were Boogie Boarding. I was 100m away and thought something wasn't right, then I heard Bella calling for me. I had to run across the beach in to the sea to Amara, thankfully a guy I had been talking to had seen what was going on and was near the water's edge. We got to Amara about the same time as she was caught in a rip. Apparently they happen alot... but I didn't know what to look out for. I would never have forgiven myself if anything had happened to either of them.
We've been shopping today and we have Boogie Boards for tomorrow...and the weather is going to be hot, hot, hot!!
.....the waves were amazing, so much fun. Noosa is one of my favourite places, it's just so chilled and really beautiful. Sunshine Beach was the best for Boogie Boarding as most of the others are pretty sheltered. Where we were staying there were some really great Thai and Indian Restaurants which is always a bonus...I've missed my curries! We ended up by chance at the Noosa Food and Wine Festival, which was excellent. You have vouchers for wine tasting and for plates of food. They were all really good and they are quite happy for you to have a few tastings for free!! Ashley Manix was amazing...a bit like Katie Melua. Marsha Hynes was phenomenal....I even danced at the front of the stage!! :-0
Will definately go back to Noosa, as it makes me so happy to be there.
