As we sat and watched the Montreal Canadiens take a 2-1 lead heading into the third period over the Ottawa Senators, my colleague Marcus turned to me with a grin and asked me how cool it would be to drop everything in Ottawa, move to Montreal, get ourselves new jobs and get season tickets.

It was a great idea no doubt, but as if a flash of lightning struck me upside the head, I looked at him and said, why not travel the world. Without any hesitation the great Duquette agreed, thus beginning what will surely be our greatest adventure.

With a pounding heart, and a burning deserve to live life differently, I got rid of my apartment, gave my employer my notice and took a page out of my great pals' book, and became the cheapest man in Ottawa

. This is happening, for real, only 4 more days remain.

But will it ever come? Tick, tock, tick, tock. August 2nd, 2010 cannot come soon enough. So hurry up time, I want this to begin.

I will be updating this regularly during my great adventure. I surely hope that most of you will follow me, or live vicariously through me while I see the world.
