So next on the agenda was to make it across to the West coast along the famous Arthur's Pass. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, the road winds and winds across to the West Coast. Unfortunately, we had very poor weather and the scenery was somewhat bleak but we could imagine it being amazing on a good day...well I could, Ger missed most of it whilst he snoozed the journey away!

We decided to camp in Greymouth on the beach that night in a lovely campsite. We spent a some time in the spa chatting to a few other older couples from the UK before heading down to the beach for the sunset. Well, actually we missed the sunset as you'll see in the photos but the sky was amazing none the less and we had a lovely walk. That was until we got lost! Only a short detour though! There wasn't much else in Greymouth itself so we didn't stick around the next day, we just headed on down the West coast.
