At last we have found a destination with green grass and wildflowers. We have been hearing of the beauty of the mid west in spring for about a month now but were beginning to doubt there was any truth in the stories of fields full of wild flowers and meadows of green grass. But at last it has come true. And where better to see spring kick off than in Bloomington, Indiana.

Our time in Bloomington has been spent in the great outdoors. Hiking along woodland trails and around clear water streams. The scenery, the fresh air and the smells of wildflowers have been a pleasant change from the sights, sounds and smells of the big smoke. The rural mid west is beautiful, that's for sure.

Today we also got to have our first picnic outside the car and I didn't even need a jumper on. Sitting in the sun overlooking the water with a gentle spring breeze blowing the leaves made me think of a BCF saying.... This is living!

The only down side is it's Easter time and normally Easter means sitting on a beach somewhere with my hilarious family. Last year I watched my brother sky dive and most of the time there are some form of antics between my Mother and Aunty that keeps you laughing for hours. But this year I am a million miles away and a little sad I can't be there to share the long weekend with them. No matter how nice the scenery or how perfect the weather, memories are always better when shared. I guess, in many ways, that's why we write this blog, to share the memories.

So with that I will sign off and say good night. Happy Easter to my friends and family back home, enjoy the long weekend.
