we arrive at the Architecture foundation after a drive in on the freeway from our good motel. Fair traffic. The Chicago Architecture Foundation is a world leader for many reasons. The L tour took us on the famous LOOP of down town LA trains. Around the city where our guide pointed out much of the architecture that we could get a great view of 1 storey above the ground. Parking was only $14 for ALL DAY (It would be $80 in Sydney!)
Tour was excellent in perfect weather. From there we headed to see Cloud Gate, "The Bean"as called by locals. Excellent. Then the Pritzker outdoor auditorium, designed by Frank Gehry.
Lunch in park, Macy's, then to the Adler planetarium for the Traverse of Venus,
The crown was HUGE, we got special glasses and got to look through a telescope. The next transit, where venus passes between the sun and the earth will occur in 2117.
Then a baseball game at US Cellular oval to watch the Blue Jays vs the local White Sox. WhiteSox humbled, 9-5 ( only one of our team were cheering for the Toronto BlueJays)
