We wake to the sound of the surf and again I partly wish I could stay longer.  We pack up our gear and grab a bite to eat before catching a cab to Tulum town.

At the bus station we go about getting our tickets to Cancun.  They cost more than we expected and we have exhausted our pesos and end up paying in pesos and dollars.  I really hope we don't need to get more cash before we leave.

Wende pays for the next bus with her last $10 USD and we head to the airport.  When we get there it drops us off at terminal 2 and we quickly realize we need to be at terminal three.  We have just missed the shuttle and the next one leaves at 3:20.  It is 3:00 now and our flight is scheduled to leave at 4:11.  We learn we can hoof it in about 5 minutes to the other terminal and in our usual rushing way we head to our destination.  We are informed that we need to arrive at the airport two and a half hours prior to departure and that we nearly missed out because they were going to close the flight.

Of course, after security and rushing to the gate, our flight is delayed a bit.  Not a long time, just maybe 30 min so we do have time to grab a burger before boarding.  The flight is uneventful with a dumb slapstick movie.  I plug into Wende's earphone jack as mine is not working and settle in.  Our plane lands about 20 min late and as usual, Wende and I are the first ones out the gate.  Not having checked baggage is a huge benefit at the airport.

We see Sandy and Wende's mom (Pat) waiting and Pat quickly snaps our "return" picture.  A quick good bye and we rush away before the other passengers catch up and envelop us.

It's good to be home.  I take for granted throwing my toilet paper in the commode and brushing my teeth with tap water.  I love my shower and my washing machine.  Most of all, I missed my girl.  Yup.  It's good to be home.
