Leaving A Little Moon Place

It was difficult to leave this wonderful paradise yesterday, and I know I have to return before leaving the island.
After 8 days, and getting to know the people at Little Moon... it's been an incredible experience. Finally got around to seeing the other huts, each hidden behind bushes...

What attracts me most about a place is the people, and certainly this little hidden gem hidden in the jungle has its share of eccentric characters.

TonTan- the jungle architect, who has built it all from scratch two years ago. Too many words to describe him, but I can only say 'A beautiful mind...'
And his wonderful new treehouse, under construction...

Joe- the "manager," who is a very special guy... liking the place to be "not too busy." Joe loves music, plays the djembe drum and strums on the guitar. A really gentle guy, who loves the nature around him

Fern, the TERIFFIC cook...

And her sweetie pie son, Sky...

And then of course, the great travellers I met there... from Canada, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Australia, England, USA, Germany, Japan, Argentina, Austria... Wow, meeting people from 11 countries in the short span of 8 days.

* * * *

But I wouldn't like to leave Thailand without experiencing other places, so yesterday I left to look for another place on the island.

TonTan took me on a tour and after seeing three other places, we arrived at The Panorama. Quite a change from A Little Moon, this place is pure luxury.
I have my own room with a lovely terrace and bathroom.

But I am COMPLETELY alone here; the only one on a resort large enough for 20 people. There are two workers who run the whole place, a young girl named Jane and a guy named Moo. Both really nice and helpful.
Moo says, "Anywhere you want to go, I take you... I here to serve you."
And so tonight, he took me to a wonderful party on his little motor bike. The place was full of nice musicians... fun atmosphere, jamming on the beach.
This even beats Sinai!!!
Also met a fascinating girl there from Frankfurt... Kresten, a freelance journalist.

Did a Thai massage yesterday... already my second one. 2 hours Foot massage and Body massage... for only 32 Danish Kroner or 5 dollars!!!

I'm getting a better idea now of the island. Spoke to Padet tonight, and he said, This is a good decision to just stay on one island, and really get to understand more about the Thai people.

I'll stay for another day or so, and then move on to another place...
