Cape Cod - Plymouth Rock

We got a bit of a late start but we set off to tour the Cape Cod area. The weather was beautiful and the Cape is breathtaking.  There are so many fantastic old homes (it's like being dropped onto the set of This Old House), forests, idyllic scenery, water and boats are everywhere. 

We finally made it to Plymouth just before dark...in time to take photos of the famous *Rock*
as well as a replica of the ship *Mayflower II*...the one that brought the Pilgrims over from England. 


We decided to have our first New England lobster dinner right there in Plymouth on Cape Cod Bay at the Lobster Hut.  That was a great way to end our first day of what is going to be a very long vacation.
