Yikes I lost my entry so this may be brief.  Kosmo and I went out to find 1 inch of snow and ice.  His highlight for the morning was to to find a frozen blue jay.  Once again, I was without my camera, perhaps a good thing.  Kosmo was sad not to be able to bring the jay with him.  He settled into his car coma.  It took us 45 minutes to go about 2 miles.  The all road piloted by the intrepid Captain Michael held course while alot of people slipped ;and slid their way off the road.  It was so strange to have totally different weather 3 hours later.  We arrived at Virginia and Kosmo hopped out of the car to be engulfed by his South pack. Pictured below is his good pal Tink.  He ran all over chased squirrels and had a smile on his face.  Thank you to all who sent birthday messages.  We ate another wonderful meal with Cyndy and Spots along with my brother and his son william.  Night time Kosmo was wired and finally he and I went out around 1:30 am.  The moon was out and we had a freat walk.  That was good as this morning at 5 there was just to much excitement for him to reali\e we were out of there.  The flight uas uneventful with the exception of the new train system at Dulles seems like it take you hill and dale on and off trains and up and down.  Lots of walking.  Even the wheel chair guy got lost. So we gotto the gate in time to board.  The flight seemed shorter than getting through the airport.  So now we are in San Francisco about to meet friends for dinner.  The journey is definately underway.

Glad to hear you are safely in San Fran! Enjoy your dinner with Caroline, Tom, ???? You'll be glad to be away from the FREEZING temps here - though no snow, thankfully - bright blue sky and plenty of sunshine all day! But VERY windy. Angus is in Raleigh NC and they are expecting plenty of snow overnight - so flights cancelled out of RDU and he will only get home on Sunday evening. Very quiet here in the 'Highlands'! Have fun and safe flight to Auckland!
