On the way to Chiang Kong from Chiang Mai had a crazy driver. The scenery was beautiful. Terraced rice paddies next to blue mountain with mist on the top. The driver almost ran over a dog, but then swerved. I probably would have freaked out. But then ran over a chicken going super fast through a small town. I hope the family ate it. Found a pharmacy in Chiang Mai and picked up some dramamine. The best 30 baht I ever spent. Ever since I threw up in front of that french guy I think I'm a little paranoid about motion sickness. Driving through the mountains + dramamine = good idea. Stayed here for one night my room was right on the river looking over the Mekong to Laos. I thought the room was ok, no bugs. But the shower head was right over the sink/tiolet so flexibility was needed. I think I like traveling by myself :-)
