We got up today and headed down the strip. It is quite a walk from the Stratosphere because it’s right one end. All the cool stuff is kind of in the middle. We made our way to Treasure Island but the pirate ships we being revamped I think. So then we went to the Mirage and found out that the volcano show starts at 5, so we carried on up to Caesar’s Palace. I got some cheesecake from the cheesecake factory, and we watched the show of the statues coming to life, telling the story of Atlantis. After Caesars, I think we had some food, and then we ended up in the Cosmopolitan and went on the slot machines. How addictive they are! We stayed in there for ages gambling, drinking free Cosmos. Eventually we had to leave, but we planned to spend the night living in up Vegas-style in casinos. We continued up the strip…we came to the Luxor where we were offered VIP entry to a nightclub called LAX. We decided that tonight we would get dressed up, have a fancy meal at the Mandalay Bay, do some gambling and then go to the nightclub. So that’s what we did. We got a taxi back down the strip after choosing where we would eat in the Mandalay Bay. We got out of the taxi at the Mirage, watched the volcano show, walked to the Ballagio to watch the dancing fountains (which were amazing!) and finally made it back to our hotel. We got changed super fast and jumped back into a taxi to the Mandalay Bay. The restaurant we chose was a buffet, but it was delicious. After dinner we gambled. It’s so exciting to sit and watch as your money gets higher and higher. Now I just have to learn to quit before it gets lower and lower again.

After gambling, we went to LAX. T was ok, but typical of these exclusive night clubs….all the tables were reserved, the music was very clubby and the crowd was very cliquey. We soon left here to go home…but didn’t make it. We were cornered by another guy offering us VIP and free champagne at the Cathouse Club. So we went. It was better in here. We stayed a while and then went home. If we were here a little longer, I could get used to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.  It really is fabulous.  xx
