Well we've reached the final place on our world tour good old New York. We arrived on Tuesday 30th May from San Francisco. our hotel is just off Madison avenue (Madison Towers)so not far from the bright lights of Times Square. We have toured the whole of Manhatten Island over the past few days including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Ground zero, Grand Central station, Central Park, Broadway and many more. Ava has dragged me around all the big shops looking at the designer gear (Yawn !). The weather has been hot and sticky for the past few days but last night we had a good old thunder storm which cleared the air and today is a bit fresher. New York is nice (in a funny kind of way) very glitsy and bustling now we know why its called the city that never sleeps you can go out 24/7 and there are places open and people around. We fly back to London this evening and dare I mention it back to work on Monday! (looking forward to that) We have added a couple of Photos from NY on the net, we will probably do a summary of the tour with additional photos when we get home. The photo count for those of you who are interested is 2200 (thank goodness for digital cameras).

See you soon Love Ava & John

Welcome Home!
Ava and John,
I just happened to check the site this morning- and have found four entries (Kaikoura onwards). These have all appeared simultaneously for some reason and weren't there when I last looked on Friday.(Only entries up to the 10th have been visible for the last 3 weeks) We were all wondering where you had got to?!
Anyway - seems you've continued to have a fantastic holiday, and brought some hot weather back with you from the States.
I'll pick you up for work in the morning John...I'm sure you've been lookin forward to that??!!

Until tomorrow......7.10am ( don't expect any Champagne)

Andy Walton
