Hi All

We've finally found a bit of spare time to update the site. From Nelson we travelled to Blenheim which is the main town in the Marlborough wine region of New Zealand. We stayed at a beautiful converted Convent just outside the town. We were the only people staying there so the owner put us in the bridal suite, I have put some pictures for you to see it on the site. After we had tasted some wines hic! we travelled down to Kaikoura to swim with wild Dolphins and watch the whales. Unfortunately it was quite a heavy swell that day so the boat trip was difficult but manageable (We weren't sick but plenty were)It took a spotter plane about 45 minutes to find the school of dolphins in the open ocean and radio their position to us. when we arrived it was a large school of 100-200 Dusky Dolphins. The captain headed straight for the middle of them and twelve of us went off the back of the boat (in wet suits with snorkels) and swam with them. they are very curious and come right up to you and swim around you. It is a fantastic feeling as they seem to enjoy it as much as you do, they look you in the eye and brush against you, remember these are wild Dolphins some up to 2m long. We also saw a Minky whale and lots of Albatross. We then travelled onto Christchurch for Ava's birthday dinner. when we got back to the hotel the owners had left a bottle of Champagne on ice for us for her birthday. Next stop Tahiti

See you soon Ava & John
