Hi all

We have just returned from a three day walking trip in the Abel Tasman national park. It is a peninsula at the top of the South Island NZ and is predominantly sub tropical rain forest along the coast with sandy beaches and emerald seas. Nobody lives there so it is quite secluded and unspoiled. we stayed at comfortable lodges on the beach for the two nights, they were beautiful places with pine clad rooms and big open fires which had been lit for you when you arrived and three course dinners in the evening. Not like the walking trips we are used to in the UK!. We were very lucky with the weather it was fine and sunny for most of the time and the only rain we had came in the middle of the night. The sea was cold though we had to wade across a couple of estuaries on the way or else you could walk around them which added several miles to your day. It was a great trip and the guides were very knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora on the way, it was a real botany, geology and history lesson.

We are off to the Marlborough wine region tomorrow for a little wine tasting then onto Kaikoura to hopefully swim with Dolphins. from NZ we go onto Tahiti and Bora Bora for a restful holiday.

See ya soon Ava & John

Hi Guys,
Just checking in and checking up on you. Glad to see you getting back to you roots and doing some trecking. Mind you I would hardly call it roughing it! It looks really great and seems that you picked the right time of year if the tourist level is very low. You going on the wine visit next so we will crack a bottle with you. West Ham lost to Liverpool in the cup final on penalties. It was 3-3 at full time, the Pool equalised in the 90th min.
Catch up again soon,

Love Chris and Malc.

Every time I catch up on your move its a wow factor. By the time you receive this message you would have gained two years on your life!!!!!! hope you had a lovely birthday Ava. Best wishes also go to John for his and your wedding anniversay. John really is getting excellent at taking photos those mushrooms look like the colour of smarties. We have had some really warm wealther here Wed Thurs and Friday but down came the rain Sat afternoon. Wales had rain in morning but had a nice dry afternoon for the football. have already seen someone has updated you on the scores. Friday night was the evening Malcs and I had his summer ball at the Royal Lancaster. managed to leave early so the journey wasn't to rushed. had a lovely evening. got to bed at 2 and woke up at 6. turned over for another hour or so. came home popped and did shopping picked up some hanging baskets plants and down came the rain.so Iam hoping this morning (sunday)will be dry so I can get them all planted up. Nothing different has happened on the work front. still just as busy as ever. the weeks fly buy, before we know it we are in the middle of the week and the week end in looming. I have told quite a few people about your web site and they are keeping up with your travels. You'll spend the first week back at work talking about every where you have been. there will be so many questions. Have you had any funny mishaps while you have been travelling or has every thing run smoothley. going to have a nice cup of tea and go in the garden.
lots of love to you both. take care. speak soon. Jillc.x.

No hose pipe ban here - Eaton Socon
High both of you. I hope you had an enjoyable wedding anniversay. waitin to get an up date. perhaps the hangover is taking longer to go than normal. what did you arrange for your special day???? apart from cracking open a bottle of shampers or wine. Jo and I are avidly straceing you jouney on your map on the door of the main office. we have red lines with red arrows in the direction you both are moving around the world. We have had a great deal of rain this afternoon and evening. there should be no hose pipe bands here. keep the pictures coming in I like to dream once or twice a week. if you are just trying to relax before you jet off to USA I will forgive you but hold your breath as New York and Las Vegas are like nothing else you have seen. Barcelona and Arsenal are playing at present. Iam sure someone will up date you with the score before the evenings out.

have fun.(yes more)

luv jillc.

Your next holiday (john) at effing last!!
Hi you two, when are you going to put some new pictures on this site for everyone to drool over?

I don't know if you heard my rambling voicemail I left you, but since I never heard from you I went ahead and booked the sleeper tickets today. Unfortunatley I was so excited I forgot to ask if reclining seats were available instead of compartments, just in case they were any cheaper. So don't spend all your holiday money before you get back, as you owe me a couple quid, John (sorry).

Carry on having a great time and don't worry that Barcelona and Arsenal are playing tonight - how much interest have they shown in your trip?

Bob

Having a 'Nice Day' in the good old US of A?
Ava and John,
Just had another look at the site to see if you've added any pics recently, I presume you're now in the States- but maybe too busy having too much fun to update the web site?
Anyway, hope things are going well -and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Andy Walton
