After a week of Spanish classes I can now speak just enough to get by. Luckily a lot of the grammar is similar to Italian or English, so it hasnīt been too hard. Iīm pleased to be finished classes though, and am looking forward to starting the fun stuff. Yesterday I took a day trip to Colonia in Uruguay. It was a strange little town, very quaint, quite touristy, but a nice change of pace after the bustle of Buenos Aires. There isnīt heaps to do there, so I spent a long lunch with a couple of visiting philosphers from Oxford I met on the boat over.
This evening I will catch a night bus down to Puerto Madryn on the Peninsula Valdez for a spot of wildlife watching.
