I arrived in London to meet Nick, Adrian and Ben. We hired a car and headed to Adrianīs friendsī house in Peterborough. Nick and I visited my friend Mandy from Cambridge, who I had met at the Italian school in Florence. It was lovely to catch up, and Cambridge we had a nice trim strolling around Camridge. Our stay in England was involuntarily extended due to flight cancellations, so we spent the next few days exploring the countryside. Lincoln cathedral and castle was a highlight, as was a second trip to Cambridge. We had a fantastic Indian meal in Peterborough, so much better than any of the indian in Melbourne, and the next night went to a Chinese restaurant on a boat in Peterborough. We also consumed a large amount of Australian red wine, and sampled such local English delicacies as the pork pie ( I passed on that one), the pub meal and the full English breakfast.
