I spent a Easter on the Amalfi coast. The hostel in Positano had a lovely view over the sea, and the weather was great. A group of us from the hostel caught the hydrofoil to Capri, and we walked up to some ruins from the house of emperor Tiberius. The island was beautiful, the spring flowers were in bloom, and there was the scent of wisteria and lemons.

The next day a couple of us rented scooters and spent the day riding between the towns along the coast. I am proud to say that I added no more scars to the ones I aquired last time I rode a scooter in India! The roads were very narrow and winding, and i only nearly got crushed by a bus once. The bike is such a great way to see the coast, and sometimes it was hard to pay attention to the road with all the beautiful scenery around. We went up into the mountains above Positano, and along to Amalfi and Ravello. In Ravello we visited Villa Cimbone which had beautiful gardens set high above the sea. Riding back the sea shimmered like silver in the afternoon light.

On Sunday I spent a relaxing day at the beach in Positano, before heading back to Florence on Monday.
