After being in Perth for about a week and a half we realized we needed to start work...again. We got in contact with people at a roadhouse about 10 hours east of Perth. It was really remote, about 400 km in each direction to an actual town! We wanted remote to save money and it wouldn't get much more remote than this. Jenna and I both worked the front counter which meant waiting on tables, running the fuel pumps and dealing with 'Truckies'. We had our own air strip behind the roadhouse and even generated our own power. Electricity lines just don't come out that far. It was tough because your brain could go to mush with the lack of activity but we both think it was a great experience. We met some awesome people and lost a few pounds from running outback to keep our sanity!!! That was the 'Real Australia' everyone tries to find.
