The poor little Tropicana.  Everyone thought it would have been torn down by now.  But an adventurous group decided to take on the task to remodel the property. Arduous Task - but job well done!

The standard rooms are quite large, have a Miami meets key west feel.  The bathrooms are quite large, but only have a standard tub.  However, if you want to get a little indulgent, have a party or live like a rock star, check out their Penthouse Suite.  A 2 story dream.  There is a soaking tub and sauna in the master bath.  Kitchen, Powder room, Dining Room and comfortable living area on the first floor provide everything you need to relax and entertain.

The Tropicana is considered a Boutique Hotel in Vegas and the smaller pool reflects this.  However, the pool is cozy and well landscaped and would be great place to be on a hot Vegas summer day

A recent addition is the global Nikki Beach Club, Club Nikki and Cafe Nikki.  The Miami location is a popular beach and night club and they've done a great job in Vegas to re-create the South Beach feel.  Wednesdays are Industry night at Club Nikki - great DJs - reasonable drink prices for a Vegas club - surprise, surprise! And if you're rolling big, get a table where the "Bottle Angels" descend upon your table with your bottle deliveries.

Dining options are full of variety and well priced options.  Satisfy your Italian cravings at Bacio by Carla Pellegrino. Biscayne is their steakhouse - a wine and four course meal pairing for $39.99!

In the near future, the Tropicana will be adding a Mandara Spa to complete the Vegas experience.

Overall, I was very surprised that the Tropicana has pulled off the renovations to bring their property into the current century! The lobby is still undergoing updates and they have piped in this coconut scent that is reminiscent of a bad candle....But the prices are competitive and the location is great.  Plus, after a night of fun and games at Club Nikki, you won't have to grab a cab!
