Leaving New York with Maree and Kate, we boarded another Greyhound bus to Baltimore in Maryland to stay with Vriginia (yes, another camp counsellor, lol) at her dorms at Goucher College. Well i say dorms but she actually lived in a huge flat at the bottom of the halls, lucky her and lucky for us.
On our first day we woke early, very early, to get the train into Washington DC. We arrived in DC just after 9am and walked into town for breakfast. We then pottered around the shops before making our way to the White House and the memorial sites. The weather was scorching hot and we had to make frequent stops in air conditioned buildings to cool down. Another successful site seeing down we headed back to Baltimore for some college drinks.
The following day we said goodbye to Maree and spent the day chilling out in the sun, I finally had time to read Harry Potter, lol and the evening was spent getting to know Virginias friends.
Another sad farewell to Kate today so to cheer me up Virginias housemates took me into Baltimore, actually a very nice town. The gorgeous weather continued. Then later that evening the arrival of Mick, Liesl, Bryce and Paige (our Aussie and NZ counsellors) was cause for further celebration.
Not a bad 4 days really. Next stop, NYC again.
