This island, a five-minute ferry ride off the coast of Xiamen, was amazing. There wasn't actually much to do there, and it was pretty touristy. But to walk around this place was wonderful--very much like Macau (where we went on the last trip), but different in that every part of this island was nice. The prices weren't too bad for the location and we were able to stay relatively cheaply in a hotel on the island. If you are ever traveling through China and think, "this country's great, but I want to just relax," this would be the place to go. Very different from the rest of China, for sure.
