Well, we're back from our adventure on the west coast and what was waiting for me in the mail when we got in? My passport and in it, pasted on page nine of the visas section, a shiny new Japanese Working Holiday Visa.

It is official: I am going to Japan.

Of course having bought a nonrefundable airplane ticket, I would've gone anyway. I just wouldn't have been able to work or stay longer than three months. So I guess what I am really celebrating is having some security in Japan.

Whatever the case it is an amazing feeling. The only thing stading between me and Japan is the 1200km between Edmonton and Vancouver.
