As I stupidly left my iPod somewhere in my bed sheets in Las Vegas 3 weeks ago, I've been listening to the radio a lot, and there's many songs I've heard which I really like and will have to accquire when I get home. The most unusual is Sean Kingston's 'Fire Burning'; I do not usually like this kind of music. The other tracks are mainly modern country and western ones (I've been on the country radio stations 99% of the time!).

Some more people spoke to me yesterday evening about my hat, a bloke came into the Sports Tavern as I was eating my caesar salad and said 'Man I like your hat! that is a good looking hat!', females seem to keep eye contact with me for extended periods of time as well, I don't know whether it's because they like the look of the hat, or because they think I look like a spanner; but due to the nice comments I get, I like to think they're staring in a positive way. Another lady spoke to me on the metro, she thought I was from texas like everybody else does, when I opened my mouth and slapped her in the face with my British Accent she was amazed, and even more interested in fraternising with me. I've never felt so popular before, everybody remembers me as well like the taxi drivers, starbucks workers, and metro staff; even a group of girls who'd seen me walking down the same street a few times. I think they all know me as that British bloke with the nice cowboy hat. I think the nice hat, and the British accent combined are a very powerful tool here in America for being liked and remembered. . .that seems to be the case with me anyway.

I think my wisdom tooth is infected so I'll get that checked out when I'm home.

I watched a film last night on TV called 'Dances with Wolves' I was interested in seeing it because I'd heard, and really like the main soundtrack, composed by John Barry, but I'd never seen the film. Also Paul, my tour guide for the Grand Canyon visit mentioned it to me. It was really good and has knocked 'Falling Down' off the spotlight for my favourite film. I hope to buy it on DVD when I get back.

I have 3 days left before I begin the journey home, it's a LONG journey home. This is because I leave Washington D.C. on Sunday, and actually arrive in England on Tuesday morning!. This is due to me leaving Washington very late at night, arriving at JFK airport at 23:15, then my flight to Heathrow is 21.5 hours later the next day at 19:30! THENNNN I fly overnight bringing me into Tuesday. . . . . .not looking forward to it. I have plenty to read though, my plan is to try and not sleep for the whole 20 hour wait, so I can sleep on the plane all the way home. Aren't I a clever little sod.
