Today is my last full day in Thailand, tomorrow I am catching the 06:27 train to Malaysia. I've just had the most amazing weekend in Songkhla. On Friday Kip the Thai lady who owns the hotel I am staying at asked me if I would spend some time talking to a Thai called Jay-Jay who is an English teacher at a local university. Of course I said this would be fine. Jay-Jay spoke very good English, and on Sunday took me to meet his family at their house just outside of Songkhla, it gave me the chance to see how a real Thai family lives! In return, I rang home and let him speak to mum and dad! Jay Jay said that dad has a very clear and kind voice and was very easy to understand!
So, that's it for Thailand. I've had an amazing three weeks, from the night markets in Chaing Mai, to my week spent on the idyllic desert island, or getting to see what life is really like for a Thai family!
Hopefully Malaysia will be just as exciting and I'm sure it will have even more in store for me!
