Back in Trier, and spent the afternoon at the Befort wineries for a private tasting. Then another 3 bottles for dinner, followed by 2 more when we got home, 3 bottles of champagne and a lot of water before going to bed. Rang my folks during bottle number 3 and they must have thought we were nutters, the hangover fairy visited us this morning, and Nathan made us pay dearly by waking us up at 6 (4 hours after going to bed). There's a photo of Franz and Hildegard's cellar which should tell you why we ended up this way.

Tomorrow is our last day in Europe, then 3 days in Singapore to adjust to the heat and the time difference before catching the flight to Sydney.
