Well unfortunately there hasn't been much excitement these past two weeks. I have been laying pretty low on the weekends in an attempt to save some money for some travel that will be happening in the near future. I am excited to finally get out of the city next weekend for Thanksgiving. There is a group of us heading out to Tortuguero on Friday morning. It will be nice to enjoy a short week of school and spend some time out of the city. It will make this next week go my quickly. Then, it is just one full week of school, then a short week because we have our overnight field trip with the 5th graders and then one more short week and Kevin will be here! Only 25 days to go! I am working on finishing up some of the final details for that trip because it will be here so soon!

One exciting thing that we had happen last week was we had a lovely natural alarm clock at 3AM one morning last week. And by natural alarm clock I mean an earthquake! Nothing like your bed shaking to wake you up. Having that happen also makes it a little difficult to get your heart to slow back down so that you can get back to sleep! I can tell you that I will not miss having earthquakes once I get to settle down in Minnesota! I think they are one of the scariest natural phenomenons! There is no warning for them and when they are happening you never know if it is going to continue to shake or if it is going to begin to shake harder! I do not like them! I will take snow storms over earthquakes any day! Bring it on MN!

At school we have been busy working to get thing squeezed in before progress reports this week and the end of our 2nd quarter in December. Hard to believe that we will be 1/2 way done with the school year already!

The weather here in Costa Rica has been cooling down a little lately! So much so I couldn't even go to the pool this weekend! I know I am getting all sorts of sympathy from those in the mid-west but it is definitely a change! It has been pretty cool and really windy lately. I guess it should start to warm back up here soon as we will be heading into the "summer" here.

Well, this is going to be a pretty short entry since I don't have much going on. Hopefully, early next week I will get my post up about my trip!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am thankful for each and every one of you! Love you!

Hasta Luego!
Ashley
