I was welcomed back to the farm this morning with the wonderful sound of a pathetic rooster, the boisterous lion roar, geese squawking, and what I assume to be Samera growling. Can't say I missed this.

Grabbed a quick piece of bread with peanut butter after getting ready for the day. Then it was off to town.

We were dropped off at the mall around 9:45. Maria and I went on a hunt for a scarf for her and a dress for me. We managed to find the scarf, but not a dress (maybe I’m just too picky). We did go to a Walgreens-like store where I picked up more lithium batteries (cost me a kidney!), shampoo, conditioner, and some face pads. We then met up with Alison and Sven and attempted to find a travel agent to research Skeleton Coast trips. No travel agents were open on a Sunday. I also managed to find a head torch, which will come in handy for navigating my way to and from the tent.

Maria and I then waited for our 13:00 departure at a Mugg & Bean (the same place that I spent the night at in the JoBerg airport). I was able to check a few things online, but didn’t get much else accomplished. Was hoping that I could Skype with Dorian a bit, but, with it being quite early in the morning back home, I couldn’t blame him for not waking up to my Facebook messages. I enjoyed another chocolate shake while I used the complimentary internet.

We all regrouped at 13:00 and hopped on the minibus. We were off to Joe’s Beerhouse. I had a cocktail and ordered the Snack Box for 2… I heard rumors about how awful Sunday supper was, and I just wanted to make sure that I had left overs to eat. The Snack Box had chicken, samosas, potato wedges, and shrimp. It was quite good, but I wish I had ordered the Cajun chicken pasta instead.

We stopped at the taxidermy/souvenir shop on the way back to the farm. I found some adorable elephant salt and pepper shakers that I purchased in addition to a gift for Mom (shhhh! It’s a surprise!) and a cute little stuffed elephant holding a blanket with "Namibia" embroidered across it for Allison.

We arrived back at the farm. I found Fiona sitting on our tent’s deck with her pants at her knees. Apparently she had a thorn that had stuck through her jeans and into her leg. Only here could I ask what she was doing and not think anything of her seemingly ridiculous response… Only here is that definitely enough justification for someone to be sitting outside in the open with his or her pants off.

I had a nice long shower and decided that I would enjoy the evening in the tent, which is where I am now. I am going to read for a couple of hours and then catch some z’s.

Good night!
