We wanted to get out of Amsterdam and explore somewhere a little less touristy in the Netherlands, so we went to Utrecht. I will definitely come back to this city. It was kind of like if Amsterdam had been powerwashed- it was clean and pretty, and still had the canals, the fun people, and was less expensive.

There is a large university there, so there were lots of fun people our age. Stop by Utrecht next time you're in Amsterdam. It's only about a half hour away.
