I wasn't feeling shit hot today. Got up fine and one mouthful of breakfast and then I had a massive headache and wondered whether I would be sick, so not a great start to the day. So I just sat with my head out the window and a rehydration drink. I don't think I was dehydrated but it wasn't going to hurt.
Today we drove to Kande Beach via a food stop in Mzuzu. Mzuzu was interesting. I think it's quite a big town, although have no idea of the population. We had a supermarket stop at People Cash and Carry which was bizarre. Basically just packaged goods, a few random apples, bananas and one brand of bread, but basically nothing exciting. Chips, biscuits and fizzy drink. They have a lot of bottled soft drink in Africa and they recycle the glass. So we were playing 50 for coke and 25 for a bottle deposit which we didn't ever get back because weren’t returning to the same place. Bugger, but it wasn't worth a lot of Westerners so all good. We also got ice for the first time in ages. Woohoo! Cold drinks. A few went with Denford to the markets to get the fresh food which I think was pretty cheap so that was all good fun.
We arrived at Kande Beach in time for lunch and free time Yeehah. Although I still wasn't feeling great so I spent all afternoon reading my book in the tent. Melting hot it was, but it was enough to put me to sleep.
