Day 71 Monday 5th July
Today we had a lazy start to the day as we were waiting for the Tour de France again. Just before 1pm they drove past the town we were staying in, just a couple of minutes down the road and we got an unobstructed view of cyclists. It was different to yesterday as there was less atmosphere, but we got to see the cyclists clearly – well as clear as you can when they are just hooning past at 70km/h. Even the video on my camera couldn't quite keep up with how fast they were going.
But they were gone in a flash – 90 seconds practically for everyone to go past, but it was still cool, even though it was shortlived entertainment. The rest of the day we just cruised and watched movies and labelled photos and that sort of thing. I think we are starting to get a little tired of the travelling, not bored, but needing more rest days. That and I think because it's getting close to the end, we are already winding up.
