attracted by the promise of a 22km long stretch of land around this coast, pretty much creating a huge salt water lake with warm water. not as nice as we hoped, not helped by the presence of an airport directly adjacent to the only camping site, also next to airport was an army base whose members seem to enjoy flying their fighter jets close to the ground right near out campsite - i´ll never complain about the adelaide flight path again.
had lots of trouble seeing the alhambra in Grenada, seems to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in europe. in the end we had to get up at 5 in the morning to join a queue already 30 strong at 6, the doors opèn at 8 and by that time there was hundreds of people. all the prebooked tickets were sold out for weeks ahead and they only released a limited amount of on the day tickets. probably more trouble than it was worth but by that stage we were quite stubborn -- we are here and we will see this bloody thing!!!

To the people that want to travel to Spain and especially Andalucía I give you a good tip. There is a great hostel where you can crash! In the White Nest Hostel in Granada, recently opened, you can find a young international group of like minded people, in fresh vibrant surroundings. You will have a great time to remember your entire life.....Based at the foot of the Alambra, the area is both central and historical. I recommend you to stay in Hostels Granada and experience the life of Albayzin, Sacromonte and the heart of Granada itself. Big
