Having been asked to show what our Diesel

  Ceduna SA   $1.52.9.
  Nullabor SA  $1.97.9.
Border Village   WA $1.99.0  but we went 14 km to Eucla and it was $1.89!!!
  Madura Pass   WA  $1.96.0
  Caiguna WA   $1.97.0
Balladonia WA   $1.88.9 but we didnt go there because a bloke at happy hour told us it was $2.20
  Norseman WA  $1.56.9
Between Ceduna SA & Eucla WA there are a good lot of Free Camps to choose from.
Really good lots of Free Camps with shade and big areas are between Eucla WA and Madura
There are very few Free Camps between Madura WA & Caiguna WA those that are there are all exposed & close to the road.
Mundabilla Road House Caravan Park $20 a night power only, no water, $10 key deposit for shower block & toilets. As one example of CP's across the Nullarbor!!

3 km west of Mundabilla Road House  there is water in roadside tanks/ picnic area (must be boiled for drinking) the roos were there waiting for someone to fill the containers for them...... which is called Kathala Pass. We filled a few containers to top up our tank.

The tank at Domblegabby Rest Area was empty when we went through.
You can buy water at Caiguna but it is salty because it is desalinated water.
We had enough water from the Dump Points, some say not to, but we disinfect all the taps and use our own hoses and we ask for water when filling diesel.  Ceduna as an example said it was not good for drinking but if you boil it it is OK, Have not been sick yet.......have drunk a lot worse from our own water tanks in the country
We found the country beautiful, not boring or featureless in the least. Absolutely ;loved it.

Note this is our experience at the time of writing and things change constantly out there.
We took 5  days to get from Ceduna to Norseman doing anywhere from 150kms - 250kms a day, leaving in the cool of the morning with the sun on our back and stopping early and setting up and relaxing for the day.

We watched the weather before going on "willyweather" http://www.willyweather.com.au/ type in Ceduna and Norseman to get idea of temps for the week, wind even tides etc very good help. So we had 23deg all the week.

Google maps is fantastic for zooming in and driving the roads to get an idea of the lay of the land and 3D to see what it looks like at any given place.
