We had a briefing session today just clearing up questions on what we should and shouldn't bring, what to expect and a few cultural and linguistic aspects. As a result I opted to halve my packing as we were told that there is quite a lot to buy for not much at all in Cambodia.
It seems we'll be spending the first couple of days in Siem Reap simply getting used to the area and recovering and going to the market to stock up for the next few days. Those next few days will be spent in a little village called Sway...try to find something on the internet about it...I can't. So it seems we'll need lots of water and other supplies.
Dad also sent me this UN notification today about how last year Cambodia had its worst case of Dengue Fever in its history, so we ended up spraying the mozzie net with copious amounts of repellent.
Now all I have to do is have dinner and hopefulli a little bit of a rest. We're meeting at the airport under the "flickery country thingy" (destination board) at 10:10 and the plane leaves at 12:50. I'll update next time from either Singapore Airport or when we get to a internet cafe in Cambodia.
