Jeez!! Where did the time go this week?  Over already.  Dave and I have been really busy working to improve the video and get more shots, so I guess that's what made the time fly by so fast.
Today's ride from Birmingham started at the morning driver's meeting back at Regions Park Stadium.  The first part of the trip was on the interstate, but quickly moved off to the side country roads.  We passed a big catfish farm and saw a very large, black, bull eating grass right next to the road!  Totally uninterested in all the cars flying by.
Unfortunately there was an accident, no details at this time, so we had a short detour, but soon we were back on track.
Eight miles out of Thomasville (where they harvest the wood for the furniture company) we got a front driver's side flat tire caused by the valve stem.  Once again, Mange comes to the rescue and offers his spare to get us the 7 miles into town where there was a tire shop.  Wham, bam and we were back on the road with a new tire!  Cross your fingers we have a smooth drive home after all this.
Tomorrow we have the Long Hauler's ceremony on the USS Alabama (really excited) and then take to the road by noon. We're going to stop over in Memphis tomorrow night and head home Sunday morning.
It's been a long drive, but again, adventure has been around every corner and that's what the Hot Rod Power Tour is all about.
Thanks for following along with us and please be sure to purchase the full length dvd when it's available in the beginning of August.
See you on the road!!
