Wow! Just one more full day of Power Tour!
We left Dayton, OH at 8am this morning and got into Somerset, KY around 1:30. It rain a little at first, but then cleared up and became a very scenic drive through the countryside of Kentucky. Five minutes after we arrived in Somerset, the skies opened up and poured down for a good hour. During this time, Dave decides to get the hood on the Nova fixed, so our friend Gary Campbell (aka, Mange) helped him out along with assistance from Jimmy from Cherry Bomb to bend back the corners, and in no time it was put back together as if nothing ever happened. Amazing. Looks like we'll be able to run down the track at Bristol tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
Speaking of rain; at about 3:00 it totally cleared up and it was blue skies and sunshine. The luck of the Power Tour-beautiful. Hung out with a bunch of great friends for a while and eventually went back to the hotel to re-group for dinner. Went to a recommended bbq joint nearby with the Cherry Bomb group and had a great time.
It's raining and thundering out right now. Wonder what's in store for tomorrow...
Can't believe it's almost over!!!

P.S. Happy Birthday Mom and Steve!!
