Only one week to go!  We have packed in a ton this week!  This week, the kids had off for Thanks giving.  Since Arno and I will not be here for Christmas, we tried to cram in some of our Cristmas traditions this week, as well as celebrate Thanksgiving.  Since Christian was about 1-2 years old, we have had a tradition of inviting all his friends over for a Christmas cookie bake during the Christmas holidays.  On Monday, we had friends over to bake, decorate cookies, and get good and "sugared-up".  Thanks, Renee, for bringing the DARK CHOCOLATE Giradelli!  Kim, I know you are watering at the mouth, now!!  Tuesday night was DJ's night--Thank you DR. Poole.  Thursday, we had a house full for Thanksgiving, and Friday we celebrated Christmas with our kids, Jonathan Michael and Cameron.  They could not part with their cousins, so they went  home with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend.  Arno will pick them up in Milledgeville tomorrow.
We are almost finished packing.  We had hoped to take only 2 suitcases, but we are now at 3 FULLY packed, plus 2 carry-ons.  Grandma and Grandpa will keep the kids at our house until school is out, then they will take them to their house for Christmas.  Thanks to everyone filling in, in our stead while we are gone.  Not only does it take a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to make it possible for Mom and Dad to go overseas to adopt more children!!!
It is hard to believe that we have been working since September of 2006 to finally get to the point where we can actually say, "One more week!"  We will soon be coming face-to-face with the children God has picked out for us.  Please pray for us that we will have helpful, friendly workers at the Government Dept. at our appointment on Dec.3rd.  Also pray for Arno and I to KNOW, without a doubt,  which children are ours, as soon as we see their pictures.
We will try to update our blog as soon as we can once arriving in Ukraine.

God bless you.
What a wonderful, exciting (and I'm sure a bit nervous) experience for you. I agree in prayer that your steps are ordered by the Lord and that you will know without a doubt when you see the children God has preordained for you. This is an awesome way to honor the memory of Christian. Travel in peace. God bless you.
