Air France cancelled their flight due to the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland. They rescheduled their flight with Aerosvit, but because of air delays, the plane sat for two hours before taking off. After a long flight to New York, they missed their connecting flight to Atlanta. After three hours of running from one end to another at JFK, and experiencing many rude Delta employees, she was told at 11:00 P.M. that there would be no flights available from JFK until 1:30 P.M. the next day. However, by changing airports, they were able to get a 7:00 A.M. flight out of LaGuardia. After a miserable night of no sleep in the airport, they arrived in Atlanta with jetlag, but Lancie was very happy to be on Georgia soil! Just to add to the misery, there was an accident on I75 on the way home, and traffic was backed up for miles.
