Greetings from Mauritania.
The beginning of the Sahara desert is upon us. It is starting to heat up during the day. Camel
caravans and nomadic tribes are starting to appear as well. The Sahel
is just around the corner. We spent most of the first day at the
border getting out of Morocco and into Mauritania. Slow and steady
seems to be the system here. No one is in a rush to do anything. We
had several bush camps before the border. Incredible scenery on the
coast. No problems so far. All is well with the truck and crew on
board so far. Illness ahead, it has been assured!
