First things first, we set off to buy a replacement coil for the one which failed on us Sunday. Went to the nearby Bosche agent, who didnt have anything to offer! They gave us the address of a parts supplier about a mile away. Then we went to the grocery store to get what we need for the coming trip (yet more stuff, but its all necessary. Including stuff for our lunces today!) Then to another electrical mechanic, who couldnt help. The staff there looked at the coil as if it was something they had never seen before, which quite possibly they hadnt! Couldnt help, we asked if they could recommend someone, which they couldnt. We mentioned the road the other guys had suggested, and they agreed that was the  most likely place. The gave us a map and showed us where to go. So after booking out of the hotel, we drove across town and bought the elusive part. E42!!! What a rip off!

Then it was off on the road again.
Stopped a few times, mainly for fuel. Previously we had a problem in that having filled up the tank, while we were paying the fuel started overflowing the filler cap. So now we dont fill the tank. However, when the service is attended, its very difficult to get the guy to put in a certain volume of fuel - they only work on the total cost. So often, rather than push the point, we have under filled the car, which means stopping off more regularly.

While we were having lunch, and trying to find the elusive oil leak, we were inundated with locals wanting to see and know about the car. The trouble is, many of them speak no English, and we dont speak Italian, so its very difficult answering questions that are just repeated again and again!
Travelled well today, and as we arent going to make the ferry a day early, we decided to enjoy the journey and come off the motorway so as to see sometning of the Adriatic coast by taking a minor road. However, that simply put us through the local towns in the middle of the rush hour, so we headed back to the Autoroute.

Now we are in Pescara, in a seaside holiday hotel. Spent some more time on the oil problem, then had a rather good meal in the hotel. No choice, but it was good food, including a carafe of wine.
Theres no wifi here either, what a backward country Italy is! Will have to post this tomorrow or whenever.
