We had time this afternoon to investigate the references to waterfalls that a couple of geocaches had made in the Upper Hutt area.
First, there was Jock's Waterfall, which was a small waterfall on a roadside that had a geocache hidden at it.
Secondly, there was a defunct geocache at the dam heading up to Cannon Point which had a bit of a waterfall coming off of the dam if you'd call that a waterfall. It was a nice level stroll through the forest beside a stream for about 20 minutes to get to the dam. Then we decided to seek out another cache in the area up at Cannon Point Geocache. It was a good uphill climb for me at least not being the greatest shape.  The view from the top was quite nice though. You could see the whole Upper Hutt valley. This particular park also had some more extensive trails and some nice swimming holes around the intersection of Akatarawa Road and Bridge Road.
These caches were off Akatarawa Road which leads out to Staglands Park that sounds cool the check out. We also past a Blueberry & Emu Farm and some cute goats.

Re: Where is the suspension bridge
If memory serves, it's off Akatarawa Rd. just out of Upper Hutt. Right about here, I think:
