Our travel to Kuala Lumpur, Australia and New Zealand
Dear friends ,yes we are nearly ready for our next tour down under. And we are looking forward to it,even if it means sometimes long waits in airports, mainly in London. We are leaving on wednesday morning from Malaga to Gatwick where we will take the bus to Stansted. The next plane will be 8 hours later. That flight will bring us after 12 a 13 hours to Kuala Lumpur We will enjoy there a relaxed stay in a little hotel near the famous Petrus towers.I'm looking forward to visiting Malaysia.I know so little about Asia! Depending on the weather ,we will perhaps book a flight to Cambodja,Bali, Tailand or wherever our fancy ,and our purse takes us. We will see...Dennis would like to try scubadiving. We will be arriving on the seventh in Coolangatta on the gold coast where we will take a domestic flight to Cairns. We will be staying there in our friends Ashley and Lorraine's house for nearly a month, using their motorhome, their car and their house They even arranged for us to go visit the coral reef by boat. That will be soo marvellous! On the 5th of October we will travel down by car to the Sunshine coast to the house of our friends Max and Margaret. As they also came to join us in Spain we had a lovely time together and also became friends. The whole travel will be about visiting friends and making the most of seeing one another again We will keep you au fait with all our adventures, and encounters, whether they are with spiders, crocks, sharks, kangaroos, whatever.I got my insect spray ready in my case. That will protect me at least against the mosqitos. I hate mosquito bites, never mind the rest Love you all

Hi Guys
Here we are then in Kuala Lumpur .And what a city!!!!Plenty of marvellous big buildings with beautiful parks, and millions of smiling beautiful faces.Everywhere you go you are surrounded, and sometimes packed in with them. The trainsystem is marvellous.you only need to wait 2 a 5 minutes for the next train, surrounded by chattering, laughing young girls in beautiful, light colours, mostly with their muslim headcovers. This is a mostly muslim country ,but a smiling one.The vibes are so positive!!
The first night here,we were too tired to do anything. We had arrived in London gatwick at about 12.30 English time and after finding our way to the bus connection,we were admitted on an earlier bus to stansted airport,What Dennis thought was going to be a one and a half hour journey turned out to be a three and a half hour journey mostly on an empty bus, just the two of us and the driver. All on an empty stomach!!!We only had enough money for one small coke bottle out of a machine but we made it last .We swooped down on the first little restaurant at Stansted and ,,,miracle...found a lovely ceasar salad and marvellous sandwiches.No...I'm not joking. Then only did we go in search of the Air Asia desk.
The flight to Kuala Lumpur was far worse than Ryanair style.Thirteen hours packed in with little space.two tiny metal tins with so and so food,no socks,no eye patches to help you sleep and toilets that bunged up.But the staff were very kind.As we flew back six hours, day broke out only a few hours before we arrived at destination.I sometimes raised the window blind and was fascinated to see the wild mountains of Afghanistan. That fascinated me!!!.We reached Kuala Lumpur airport,an hour out of the town,at about 5 o'clock.
We had a wonderful day yesterday!!!We went via the wonderful railway system straight to the Petronus towers,to find that, no, we could not get to the skybridge. No,Sir,You will have to come tomorrow at 7 o'clock to book your tickets.People start queuing at 4 o'clock. And no Sir,you can not book today.Guess what Dennis said.Sod off. They can keep it!
!So we happily explored the shopping center, had a lovely meal, took plenty of photos and some video with a little camera ,we bought, and then started exploring the indian marked and all it's tiny, colorfull stalls. It was like being in a magical birdcage.Everywhere chattering, laughing colourfully dressed people and stalls with muslim, java style, indian style, batic painted and whatever else style clothing and bales of bright alour materials.Wonderfull!!!.It all fell still suddenly when the men rolled out thei little carpets in the middle of the ,already narrow paths and from the mosque started the prayers. We scampered to wider streets, suddenly aware that we had not seen other tourists for a long time and that it was better to be discreet.
A taxi brought us home to the hotel and a well earned sleep. We were shattered...
We left again to visit the world trade center and it's Mata,or travel fair.We enjoyed that greatly. We were surprised to see what a multitude of people had the same idea. The entrance fee was not even a Euro. The room with representatives of many countries was our favourite. And our favourite stand was the tiny Aystralian one.We got quite chatty with them and got invited by Jeff to go and try his chocolates and by Susie to go and see her near melbourne, ring in advance when we were coming and she would have the scones ready.Well that will be in the middle of november and be a different story.
Bye for now, love you but leave you.
