Yesterday was a very exhausting but exciting day! We went on a 3-hour treasure hunt around the city in groups of four, so that we could learn our way around the city. We had to take the conchos which are small cars that usually cram 4 people in back & 2 in the passenger seat & they have specific routes with letters.
I was the chief of my team and the whole experience was so impowering! I feel more comfortable about travelling around Santiago & I have a better sense of direction. There were a few times when we had to cross busy streets & ride in scary traffic...but I just had a sense of adventure the whole time. I think I probably asked a total of 30 people for directions, and all were very helpful.

I also made my class schedule yesterday. The TESL class was full, so I ended up being in the Community Service course for Education. That way I can work with little kids to teach them English & dance. I'm also taking - History of the Caribbean, Literature of Hispanic America with the theologians, our required Dominican Culture class and the highest Spanish level. Our director said I got the top score on the exam so that was exciting!
Tomorrow we are going to the capital for a day & hopefully on Sunday some of us are going to the nearest beach.
