Unfortunately some of my time in Mumbai was spent in not-so-ideal weather.

That said, I did managed to get out and explore Mumbai with amazing efficiency; all to the thanks of Shah's appointed driver and guide, Arun and Jadau.

Perhaps one of the more unique experiences I had was going through the street-filled neighborhoods as the locals marched their statues of Ganesh, the elephant god, to the ocean. Having just arrived at the beginning of their ten day festival huge shrines were erected, lights were put up and people danced and sang everywhere during my time here. It was wild fun and full of energy.

By the time I left Mumbai I was fully in love with India. As you will see, it was a feeling that would eventually come and go as easily as the passing of the hour.
