Where I stayed
Na Trang to Dalat.
Just as I thought Na Trang would be quiet and sleepy "Icebox" decides he wants to Parasail. He did I did not. The beaches in Na Trang are jumping a 5am. Locals are playing badminton, Thai Chi, jogging and swimming. By 7am the beaches are empty. My only excitement was picking up the laundry. 5 minute taxi I have a week's worth of laundry washed dried and folder for $4.00.
On our way out of town we stopped at therapeutic Mud Baths. Since we did not have aches and pains we are not sure if the mud was helpful or just messy.
The trip from Dalat took 4 hours. Our driver stopped at small villages along the way. He drove drove like a mad man but slow down for kids on bikes and cows. Waterfalls were spectacular as was the thunder storm we drove thru. Lots of veggie’s and coffee are grown outside Dalat.
Arrived in Dalat and we are now staying in The Sofital Hotel. Built in the 20’s and it is over the top beautiful. Spacious lawns and flowers everywhere. We found a small French restaurant nearby and had a great dinner. Forget about losing weigh this vacation. The farther south we travel French/Vietnamese fusion is everywhere.
This morning we met Icebox’s student and went to a local amusement park. We were stared at by locals and asked if they could take their pictures with us, kind of like zoo animals…lol Some small children were afraid of us. We accommodated their requests smiled, posed for pictures and continued on.
Off to the Palace for a nap before a night in Dalat and then to the mecca of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City.

PS: Techno music is happening in Dalat. I kind of like it. Oh and I see someone has edited my notes....I am not the "Fridge"
