After arriving at the hostel about midnight, I had planned that my first day in Boston would be a rest day. Well, I couldn't help myself . I was up and out and about at 9:30 in the morning. Before I knew it I had done the whole Boston freedom Trail. You just can't help your self. There is a big red line down the middle of the foot path which everybody else seems to be following and you just get carried away with it.

To cut a long trail short ( because this Internet PC is chewing $1 bills like a very hungry person) I got to the end of the trail and the heavens opened.  The rain was down for the day. There was no point sheltering. I got soaked walking back to the city. Looks like my luck with the weather has ended.
The old part of Boston is a bit like a European city. the old mixed with the new. it does not have the usual grid pattern of the other Us cities than I have seen. Obviously built before the city planner emigrants arrived. Hopefully the weather will pick up tomorrow and I can explore some more.
