Today we caught another historic streetcar (this time from Louisville In the 1940's to the Ferry Terminal Farmers' Markets. We've been pleasantly surprised by the farmers markets across the US, but especially in SF, where everything is organic and grown in fresh Californian sunshine.
It was Fleet Week this week, which has meant heaps of defence personnel in town, regular flyovers by the Blue Angels (like the roulettes, but using F/A-18's instead of PC-9's). It also meant massive crowds at the Saturday markets, a tad too much for Toby.
So we made our last night in SF a night in, with produce from the markets, local beer, and a dodgy Western movie.
We have really enjoyed SF, it is a fantastic place to visit, with great public transit, walkability, architecture, food, sights, museums, etc. But it would be also great to live in, if a tad expensive.
