Today had three objectives: 1) ride a cable car without standing in line, 2) walking across the Golden Gate Bridge in the sunshine, and 3) visiting the Golden Gate Park to see the botanic gardens and the Japanese tea gardens.

Task 1 was accomplished by leaving the house before 8:30.

Task 2 was not accomplished because the clouds came in, and we didn't walk the whole way across. Gee it's a long bridge- we only got half way across and then had to walk back again.

Task 3 was also a failure, we decided that we couldn't justify the entry fees. But Toby didn't mind- the playgrounds were amazing.

On the way home, we walked past the old hippy central area of Haight-Ashbury, and passed by the famous Painted Ladies.
